As an artist, creating my self-portrait in oil on canvas was a deeply reflective process that marked an incredible milestone in my career. My journey began in Fontainebleau, near Paris, where I first fell in love with art, and it has brought me to Guildford, where I’ve spent years capturing the faces and stories of this remarkable community.
My passion for portraiture took shape in 2003, leading to commissions that span children, celebrities, and even royalty. With every painting, I strive to tell a story or capture the unique personality of my sitters. The meticulous layers of oil and the intricate pencil details embody my commitment to preserving moments in time.
Now, as my Faces of Guildford project reaches its culmination, I’m thrilled to share the stories of 30 incredible individuals who have shaped our community. The exhibition, running from November 23rd to January, features 16 oil paintings and 14 pencil drawings, showcasing the rich tapestry of Guildford's past and present.
Sharing my expertise through workshops, exhibitions like GU ART, and connecting with like-minded artists has been a fulfilling part of this journey. I am grateful for every opportunity to celebrate life through art.
If you’d like to preserve your story or honor someone close to you, I’d be delighted to create a portrait for you.
A portrait, a story, a legacy.
